The Keep it Local team are committed to maintaining an excellent standard of work at our friendly fairs. The stallholders are carefully selected so that only a high quality and wide ranging variety of goods are on offer. We have a large pool of exhibitors who we rotate to ensure that the event does not become boring for the visitors. We are always sourcing new local craftspeople to enhance the shopping experience too. Dogs are welcome and all events are wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
Unfortunately, 2022 prices for our marquee hire and venue rental have become impossibly high, so, to maintain the simplicity of small makers (rather than bringing in traders) we are limiting our efforts to only the Coolings site.
Visitors often voice their compliments of our craft fairs as they leave. These are just three comments which were left (unprompted) in writing at a Coolings event:
Denise of Chelsfield said “What a fantastically imaginative group of crafts people. Loved this. I will look out for more online. THANK YOU”
Sue of West Wickham said “GREAT EVENT – lovely to see a craft fair that’s all crafts and no tat!”
Jan of Orpington said “ Really impressive standard of exhibits”
Previous exhibitors have made: Jewellery - including items made from seed beads, hallmarked silver, fused glass, swarovski beads and polymer clay. Cushions, candles and clocks, cards, cookie kits and coasters, pottery, paintings and photographic art, wooden bits, bowls and boards, squeaky jumpers, soap, slate and stained glass, shoulder bags, hand bags and wash bags (not to mention one or two old bags!), bibs, rattles and toys, collector bears and rugs. And, last but not least, CHOCOLATES!
Look out for our organiser's table. Sally, Andrew and Anne
are there to help you and love to talk! We'd love to hear
your feedback or learn about local craftspeople who might be
interested in attending. We have a table in the entrance
where we give you a nice welcome and, if you've enjoyed our
event, can offer you a form to complete on exit requesting a
reminder email for the next event.
